You're Not Him
You're not him
You're not the man who laid his hands on me
Who caused violet, pinks and blues on my skin
Who made me bleed from the sharp belt
Who calls me a dumbass, a brat, spoiled
Who pulls my hair in public
Humiliates me in front of my family
Throws things my way and destroys our father daughter relationship
You don't lay your hands on me
You
always ask about how I feel
You
make sure I'm fed
You
make everything
feel safe and at home
A home I was never familiarized with
Without you I would've never discovered that the things I've been through aren't normal
I want my life back
With your support I'm slowly but surely making progress
because you're not him
I love you
