You're not a mule

why did it take me so long

to realize  there’s only so many burdens a person can carry

I apologize

I made you my mule

thinking you could carry the weight

when in reality, you are a human

only born with two hands

but where do I find the balance

God, you said you can take it all

but why do I feel so weighted

i’m sinking with a ball and chain

don’t let me drown

patience

but i can only hold my breath so long

black out

I can’t do any thing

unconscious

my time is trickling

breathless

numb to reality

savior

that’s what i need you to be

trust

the only thing to resurrect me
