You're Okay
I’m floating in the clouds,
And I can’t make a sound,
I try but I can’t come down.
While I struggle to survive,
This never-ending fight,
You smile and live alright.
I pull out all my guns,
And bring you down the sun,
But your ship is far and gone.
And while he tempts you with a sin,
And you smile and give in,
I ache because I won’t win.
You don’t even mind.
I’m fading away,
Like the sand under the waves,
I’m burning up in flames,
But you’re still okay.
And the photographs we shared,
Show a heart when it still cared,
It’s a shame it had to end this way,
Yet you’re still okay.
I’ll lay down my sword,
And relive every promised word,
But I can’t fight what’s not there, anymore.
The day is now gray.
The day is now gray.
The day is now gray,
All because you’re okay
