You're Only in My Nightmares Now
"It isn't a pleasant thing to speak of "
Well, it wasn't pleasant to experience.
When I've tried to open up and share,
people just can't take me serious.
Still not convinced this happened when I was so young.
Next time I'll sit quiet, and I'll hold my tongue.
I just remember he held me down in my sleep.
"Were you interested, were you clothed, did you kiss, did you drink?"
Guilt never associated with the demon, but instead it's just me.
1,825 showers and I think I'll never be free.
But I see others speak out, of what people like you've done.
Now the score is you 1,825 and me, one.
Healing is a process, something I thought you stole.
I think now my recovery is something I can control.
