You're Prettier When You Smile
Puppet I am
Puppet I'll be
Puppet the name
That wholly is me
You can't see my strings
You can't see my scars
All you see is my smile
On a jumble of parts
They say "Dance!", and I'll dance
They say "Sing!", and I'll sing
And forever I'll obey
Until they cut the string
Then down the floor
With a clatter I'll fall
And "Goodbye dear Puppet!"
Will be their last call
My body will lay
In a heap on the floor
My soul, it is trapped
Puppet forevermore
