You're Standing in Front of an Audience
You're standing in front of an audience
and you lose it
you forget why you're standing there
what you were going to say
you forget how to breathe
the fear catches in your throat
you forget yourself
you lose all words and all thoughts
you're alone and surrounded
the walls closing in
your fear traps you inside
and you can't hear anything
Your queue to speak has passed.
