You're Too Nice

I admit that I hate the way you are

When you look at me, I see someone who cares more than I deserve

I am annoyed that you have so much love and I forgot how to

Love left me face down, in a pool of me and cigar butts

I hated love

I hate love and yet, You dare to have so much

You look at this mess that I am and claim I am worth giving love to

But, you said so yourself, you feel like I don't care

I'm a monster to you because you haven't slayed the dragon

You've only acknowledged that it exists
