Yours Truly #1

Dear Fate,
How have you been? I know you have to be objective. I know this is why I can't depend on you. Why I can't ask you for help.
Dear Destiny,
You've known all along. Why couldn't you warn me? I know you'll say I should have seen this coming. You'll say I should have been prepared for anything. But I know you'll just be covering for yourself.
Dear Karma,
I look to your responsibility in the scale of fortune. I know you will balance my life. I wish you could promise more.
Dear Luck,
You've tried so hard for me. Thank you.

You all know I write to you because I have come to find that I can be worthless. I have proven myself insufficient. I am pitiful and desperate. My soul is worn. My spine is bent. I was valued only until I stopped keeping pace. But I'm ready. I don't have proof. I can't swear an unbreakable vow. My legs are still shaking. My feet are still bleeding, but I'm not afraid of that. I can travel this last stretch of the journey. I just need someone willing to believe me.

Yours Truly.

J.C.G.

Born the youngest child to a disconnected mother, and an invisible father in Torrance, CA. Have always been a bit on the odd side of things, but have found that all the friends I need are just as peculiar. You have more chances of finding me with my head in a book than on social media, but i do have the seemingly required email. (^-^)
