Yours Truly

Defined as a word, yet I don’t understand my meaning… I try as hard as I can to let go of the past, but it would be like trying not to breath. They make it seem so easy to do right… even though they know it’s easier to do wrong. Confusion is how I feel. Not what I am…

            Dear diary; self,

How come I stand the way I do? Breathe the way I breathe, and write when I’m confused? Why do I consider lies as the truth? Believe in everything they do? Oh God please.

Please answer because I don’t know… seems as if no one else knows ether…

Future me, be easy on the past me… this letter is not meant for judgment.

I’m begging—don’t judge me like they did. I mean… its me! I’m with you… right? Or am I alone without you?

Wow. I must really be depressed… empty as if… sorry if this letter is not understanding.

Trust me, the last thing I need is myself not understanding who I am….

            Yours truly,

Someone who knows you more than you know.

As If I’m understood as the definition.

I try so hard to carry myself with so much faith and so much confidence.

Judged for being my own creation, they seek pain as if fear determines my strength. To be completely honest with you, there’s not much I can say… almost as though I’m writing exactly what my hands want to voice on the page.

There’s so much freedom for my hands when I am able to use them in such a way.

Thoughts trailing off because thinking too much can make me have a crave

A craving for new ideas and new words… new combinations of how things can twist without working.

To them, love is too much to ask for.

I feel alone.

Please don’t ask why, then I explain and you walk away.

Don’t walk out of my life like they did… No. I don’t trust them.

Trusting someone can kill you!

“Even Satan was once an angel…”

Yours truly,

The Only Person You CAN Trust: Yourself.

Imagination has overwhelmed my ability.

They throw me in a room alone and expect me to write without paper or pen.

Like, Speaking without hearing my own words… I don’t hear what I think!

But… I see how I feel?

I've found my passion for poetry in 2010. :) I also enjoy writing mystery novels.
