Youth, Gone Away?

Youth is the swings at the playground the doll in the bed the taste of lollipops and gumdrops the dizziness in your head. Youth is the fairytale you read the stories left behind the memories made on happy days the part of you that never fades. Youth is a wish on a star a song on the radio a day with your best friend a feeling that never ends. Youth is a book you can't put down a day at the beach a kiss from your true love a wind that soars above. Youth is the moment you can't shake the dream that won't break a love here to stay a time that doesn't go away.
