Youthful Deeds

Is it normal for them to see

why family means so much to me.

When friends start dropping out one by one

then you realize, staying inside is more fun.

Instead of going outside and play

you say, sleep is only for me today.

Wash and clean I can do myself

Im no longer a small little elf.

Adults say this is to much for you

If they can do it, I can do it too.

Knowing the difference between left and right

I am no longer dreaming of becoming a Knight.

Wanted more things that costed more than my shirt

I think about what i say, no longer blurt.

No more poptarts and candy for Brunch

only a red apples for me to crunch.

Math is no longer two plus two

and for science, I do not know what to do.

Over the years, you begin to realize

how you appreciate the sunrise.

You ask yourself, what is wrong with me?

It's nothing, Im just a growing seed becoming a tree
