A Youth’s Guide to the Wasted Years

Knowing that I am living through the years of freedom and reckless actions, I do take these resolutions into all the decisions I make. These are values I will keep dear until the day I die.

READ THESE RESOLUTIONS EVERY MORNING.

Resolved, to give meaning to each moment and never to waste my youth waiting for the unpromised future.

Resolved, to allow myself to make mistakes for I am flawed, I am a human being.

Resolved, to forgive but to remember what I deserve.

Resolved, to allow myself to feel each emotion and never to keep myself from breaking down every now-and-then.

Resolved, never to say a damn thing about anyone, to open my imagination to what troubles they could be suffering.

Resolved, never to be hesitant to try something new, to always remember life is an adventure that will end at some point.

Resolved, to accept change, for it is inevitable and something I cannot control.

Resolved, to enjoy the reckless and passionate nights so I can retain moments of feeling infinite.

Resolved, to appreciate the ones who make it a priority to keep me in their lives, to never resist an “I love you”, or “You are so important to me”.

Resolved, to never lose my sense of wonder, to balance the child and grown-up inside of me.
