"You've Changed."

I swear if someone tells me one more time,

"You've changed," I'm going to scream.

What are you trying to tell me,

that I shouldn't have. No.

Last time I checked growing was essential.

If a baby doesn't crawl, they call it "failure to thrive",

If I don't change, is it failure to grow?

Why is it that you will accept change as a fact of life,

But it doesn't apply to me?

Stop!

I'm going to change. Physically, mentally, and emotinally.

It isn't about you. It's my choice.

I refuse to be stagnant.

So next time you judge the way I've grown,

I'll greatlfully accept it as proof I needed to.
