Yupper Puppers

My dog is something I hold dear to me,

When he gets excited, he tends to pee.

I don't get mad, or scream, or shout,

I hug him harder and pet his snout.

My dear Lennie means the world to me,

He fills my heart with so much glee.

He came to me when I was a wee lad,

He's all I know and all I've had.

On darker days when things get rough

Lennie consoles me and he snuggles with me

Reminding me that things are okay and that I'm tough

He reminds me to never flee

He's small and black and a little chubby,

But he reminds me to always be me.
