Zane, my trusty Honda Accord

my loneliest moments are when i'm walking slowly

to my car after a

tiresome, dreary, draining day

typically, i throw my hair back, look

towards the sky and

heave a sigh,

letting out the pains of the day

secretly, i'm wishing for someone to notice

for someone to place a hand on my back

and ask me what's wrong. I would say that

i'm fine,

i just had a stressful day.

it's a lie and obviously so.

secretly, i want someone to confront me

and yell at me

tell me that they know i'm not doing so well.

secretly, i want someone to hold my hand,

walk me to my car, and tell me that

everything will be okay.

but my life isn't full of cliches like that

instead, i straighten my posture, tilt my chin up, march to my car, unlock the door, and

collapse inside.

i shake my hair, untangling the delirious notions, slip the keys in, turn on the ignition

and pull away

every. single. day.
