Zenith

Each limb of my tree of verity burns from the core, crackles in defeated revelation Having been fated a series of keen glimpses of reality's roots And lived always in a state of naked urgency Wishing and wanting for the estranged warmth of the sun Of my life's zenith, my long awaited apex, my chime I believe in the fruitful reward then and there, when once again I'm exonerated Deliverance, timed cessation In this state, I will feel only the cradling embrace of God And not his relentless whip lashing my back with the promise of a later time of comfort When inhabiting oppression, embodying the grievances of the human condition Self denudation, desperately clinging to Aesthetics, honesty in art and the art of self And how beautiful it can be to witness Thrashing sentient beings Bludgeoning themselves in the glimmer of moonlight Each limb of my tree of verity burns from the core, crackles in triumphant glory.
