Zombie

Every morning I feel like a zombie, I wake up with yearning and hunger. I stumble around, completely misguided, I can't take this much longer. I hear the sounds, and the screams, of the living and their misery. The struggle for life, that simply cannot be. This hatred, a viral infection, far more contagious than the common cold. Like my body, so lifeless, so hollow and empty. I only wanted someone to hold. Now, I've become what people dread, I am the creature in this waking nightmare. Hell on earth, burning bodies, vaccines, and the plague. This hope of mine is rotting.
