¨Perfection¨

I am tired,
tired of driving for hours, days, on end.
miles upon miles, but there lies a desire.
this is a never ending road, my destination not in sight,
I am in the dark but I have my headlight.

what route shall I take ?
being the longer I drive the further I get.
maybe I should hit the brake…
for the pursuit of perfection is a never ending trek,

if I am not careful I may wreck.

unobtainable, unrealistic
my drive to be the best version of me,
which is honestly nonexistent
on this journey I only stop for gas
ambition so strong, I dare not ask,
question my way of thinking

gears in me constantly spinning.
maybe I should get off at the next exit.
I am realizing the lust for a flawless life, is not right.
everything has scratches, a spotless car does not exist
for the pursuit of perfection is a never ending trek,

if I am not careful I may wreck.
