 The Sailboats Are Coming

The Sailboats Are Coming

The sail boats are coming,

They’re coming to your town,

So you better hurry, hurry home,

Hurry, hurry home,

To lock up all your wives,

And lock up all your daughters too,

For those tattooed boys in navy blue,

Months away at sea,

Fighting strident battles

With cannon balls and steel,

Starved are the boys,

Starved are the men,

Starved of beer and rum,

And starved of the company

Of well-proportioned blondes,

Red hair and brunettes too,

Tonight, tonight, tonight,

The town is going to rock,

Of sailors celebrating

In coming back to port,

For the sail boats are coming

They’re back coming to town,

So you’d better hurry,

Hurry, hurry home!
