“The Follower”
(poems go here) As the desolation of winter passes,
The spring rebirths it’s fragrant grasses.
As Death grips and rips apart,
A new family begins a fresh start.
As one moment ends, another will follow.
As time passes on as it’s meant to do,
The conscientious decision is up to you.
As life kicks, trips, and pushes you down,
Will you press on to gain the crown.
As one moment ends, another will follow.
As we all know someday we'll all be ashes,
Put back into the ground to feed those grasses.
As viewing it as life has ended is a common misconception,
Torn from one’s body is only a perception.
As one moment ends, another will follow.
As love has faded to a distant memory,
Scratched into someone’s heart like lines on emery.
As today feels dead, tomorrow is alive,
So choose, live in the past, or prepare to make a dive.
Because today will perish, but tomorrow will live forever.
