“Because I love me”

because i love you, i’ll let you spit this dream of us; being

i’ll let you tell the things i want to hear

to later repeat to myself when i’m in fear

but because i love you, i will forgive and forget until i end up with two concussions in my head

but because i love you, i’ll spit a myth that …

“ooooh no, listen i just tripped”

because i love you, i will suffer the lies that one day finally eat me from the inside,

Until, “because i love you” is no longer enough

And the because i love you turns to “because I love me” and that’s far enough!

Fast forwards a few and truthfully i’m still confused because, “because i love you” is so obseen

What is because I love you, without because I love me?
