The “Enough” Feeling

The days are getting longer

The nights are getting harder

Without you around

I have to be stronger.

When you rely on the impossible to keep your strength

you end up looking for other things

Someone to put hope in or even trust or even love

but you have to get passed the hurt to feel enough

Bruises and scars are just reminders of who we are

The reminiscing of reaching for the highest star

we sit back and wait for life

Not realizing we are responsible for sharpening the dull knife.
