“golden boy”
How does it feel to have all the answers in that
Golden head of yours,
But to never speak your mind?
Aren’t you sick of not telling your story?
Do you ever try to fly too close to the sun
Like Icarus, like I do?
And melt
Have you ever even thought of me when you’re
Not peering into my storm?
Or am i only a candle in the wind to you
And you turn around and forget like i’m invisible?
snuffed
What do you even say about me when i’m not there
Do you think me insane from all the layers of painted on
Jokes that I use as my armor?
Perhaps, do you inquire where the paint-chipped part of me goes?
Please ask me where it is
And maybe i’ll show you
.
But she’s prettier and she’s newer than me
And you smile just for her
Forgive me if I shed an acidic tear onto your milky hand
While I try and paint on another smile with my blood
“I’m happy for you”
