“My Shadow”
It’s always with me
It never leaves my side
Never in front but always behind
My shadow follows me even when I hide
Throughout the day it follows me
My only friend, as I walk the unknown
My shadow follows me, so I know I’m never alone
When darkness comes my shadow doesn't leave
But instead becomes whole as it soaks into me
It gives me it's bravery when I am in need
My shadow is like a ghost
That got stuck on the ground
Like another me that's always around
My shadow speaks to me
Like voices in the wind
I couldn’t live without it
My shadow is my friend
It’s always with me
Even when I hide
I hope it stays with me
And never leaves my side
