“NEVER BE AFRIAD TO BE YOURSELF” -Mother
“NEVER BE AFRIAD TO BE YOURSELF” -Mother
Bring me myself in a box,
hypothetically
stuck on a island located deep in my thoughts
My brain access lost,
the plane dropped
dripped
and dissolved into what i call a decapitated doll
Barbie, call me pretty, I don't fit in at all.
In reality
stuck on a island
the sand has consumed me
Convinced me to conform and be you, not me
so i warped
wrapped,
pushed and tugged, then i remembered what my mother said.
My world opened up and i realized
maybe my island isn’t so bad.
I never have to be afriad of who i am.
