“Not Pretty Enough”

As I go to fast asleep , room warm , pillows as cold as the night before. I wonder is this what beauty sleep feels like . Sleeping in a room that’s is the perfect temperature with no one to say a word other than yourself. ¿Why? Do I sleep inside a room where most people would describe perfect but I’m still “NOT PRETTY ENOUGH”. As I wake up I look in the mirror and discover something so mesmerizing. Skin like light brown chalk , eyes that look like circles , braces that most people won’t have because they got them off in the 8th grade. I just want to know why am I “NOT PRETTY ENOUGH”. As I go to school and see what’s considered good and bad. Why am I “NOT PRETTY ENOUGH” . Put some makeup on they say , cover up anything that shows signs of insecurities , show your confident when your really hopeless, smile even though your afraid of what people will say to you, because of your braces ! Society has taught us to believe we are worth it , we’ll never look as good as them! What we don’t realize is we are beautiful no matter what ! There no “right” way to look pretty enough ! Stop asking yourself why am I “NOT PRETTY ENOUGH” but ask yourself “¿WHY IS SOCIETY AGAINSTS US?!!!!”
