“Remember the Problems”
Watching the world’s problems just form before my eyes,
And having them blow up before I could realize.
But some stories I got and I caught at a glance,
And with these stories I realized that life is a game of chance.
I could see the ones who had successfully made it,
I wish I could record and just suddenly play it,
The historic events that made living so much better,
From Dr. King’s speeches to Albert Einstein’s letter.
Remember what King did, he showed nothing but love,
He let fate rest in the hands of the man above,
Kings strength, is a deer,
With all the love in his heart, there was no room for fear.
And though things may seem cool now they surely are not,
From kids starting fights to people getting shot.
Death is a cat, that sneaks up from the back,
It’ll strike you so quick, you won’t know where you’re at.
But not all is bad, there are people out there who are smart,
Be like my friend Jet and turn everything to a work of art.
But some people can only dream of being that successful in life,
So just hold on to your goals and your future is sure to look bright.
Now there are people here who died and we remember what they did,
But all they truly wanted, was to look out for their kids.
And this is the truth, not something I heard from around,
There are people out there who will try to bring you down.
So remember to keep your head up and look toward the sky,
Remember that you have to live before you can die.
