“Why Do I Write Poetry?”

Why do I write poetry? I gotta write how I feel It’s like listenin’ to myself When nobody else will For every emotion I have, It rolls off my mind Gotta release my anger and sorrow In a sufficient amount of time Sometimes, I don’t wanna tell everybody what I’m thinkin’ I wish for my nightmares to go away So, I just keep blinkin’ Sometimes, my only friend is my computer Because my thoughts come quickly Gotta have somewhere to put them That’s why I write poetry
