窓 MADO

窓

MADO

Sissel South

Galient beams shine from my window

Grazing as they warm my sleeping self

I arise from my bed and listen

I listen for the past that whispers from me

This window has sheilded my woes and fears

Though at times I wish I could step out and run

Kismet, destiny, and fate led me through

Keeping three close to me onward

Looking back in my past,

Leaving the regret of "what could be"

Mirrors in such a way I never would have dreamed

Morning, afternoon, evening, but night

Night is where I could wish with my bleeding heart

Now feeling the cool inspiration against my face

Being who I can now

Because I am who I am

Nobody can see or feel how I've felt

Now why would I throw away my experience?

I've never felt happier in my life

Inclining, towards I future I know I'll love

Breaking out of my stale shell

Bursting out of my sheilding window

To Nellie Christensen,

I still think of you and I'm grateful for what you've taught me in class.

Thank you again for the five dollars as well.

I'm a student and I've discovered a new love for poetry. I'm bilingual - first is obviously English, and my second language is Japanese. I'm very geeky and I can talk about Batman for hours. I want to inspire others.
