Anorexia
It's funny how once you start eating again you convince yourself that you're okay,
But soon you realize that the voices in your head still have so much to say.
Thinking about the scale is the only thing that runs through you mind,
And that everything else in your life seems to be a beat behind.
You put on a front in public so no one suspects a thing,
These people don't realize that you are still under torture from what this disorder brings.
As the number on the scale gets smaller, you suddenly become full of pride,
As you continue to try the best you can in order to hide.
You figured that if no one knows what is going on, that everything will be fine,
Until you bend over and you notice that you can see your ribs and your spine.
You wear baggy clothes so no one can see how thin you are,
And that along with your slim physique, you carry a lot of scars.
Some of them you can see, but most of them are in your head,
That everytime you take a bite, you feel as if you would be better off dead.
One small bite begins to tear you apart,
And you start to lose your breath as you begin to feel the race of your heart.
You begin to feel dizzy as the room suddenly goes black,
It hits you that you have taken this to far and there is no going back.
You lose your balance and you fall to the ground,
With no one around, there was not a single sound.
You should have gotten help, but you have taken this to far,
Because sometimes it is hard to fight who you are.
