We Are Predecessors

July 19, 2013
We are predecessors. The ones that came after those whom founded it. Preserved it. Reserved it. We run wild through sanctuaries, anarchy fueling our body, tear gas fueling the weapon against one another over a solitude democracy. predecessors do not see eye to eye of the ground level for we were not there when it was built. We skim the top, frantically looking what to fix yet there is nothing so creative juices start flowing. We soil the restoration. Spit on the preservation. Destroy the foundation. The tongue is small yet vile, carbon tax 'decrease' is replaced with wasted carbon out of the mouth. Intention is questioned of our favorite court-room drama while Martin is still in the ground. Predecessors mangle an already organized thought desiring power and possession forcing transparent boundaries to be etched while the Antarctic pleads to be untouched. New leaders are young and enthusiastic, ripping other's youth away for speaking what is right. We are predecessors. The ones that should raise our eyes not to look at another. Not to look at the world. Only to look at what matters.
