An Un-End

July 22, 2013

We can never be together;

without you, I will better.

I miss the times I’d lost hope, when

I said I’d never love again.

I used to be a steadfast guard,

protectress of my fragile heart.

I was alright alone, but then

you dismantled my perfect plan.

I don’t love you; that’s not a lie,

it’s just a clever alibi.

I wish that we could just be friends

But I know heartache is our end.

We can never be together;

I said I’d never love again.
