Separate but Equal

July 11, 2016

Two homes two lifestyles in two different directions.

Two sets of rules and regulatioms but oddly the same affection.

One side wants to hold me in fear of losing me I understand.

The other wants me strong and smart and independent as a young man.

She views me as her baby; her lone bundle of pride.

He wants me to grow and learn from my mistakes along the ride.

They want nothing but the best, something I havent given much of.

Something I intend to fix this year, with a little help from above.

With her I don't do much expect the occassional washing dishes or clean.

With him I'm much more active; taking a break on happens in a dream.

My mom and dad are protect and strict, but both share the same amount of care.

Even though they dont approve, thank god they didn't cut my hair.

As I'm about to graduate; preparing for the next level in life,

I pray the I'm half the man my pops was, and I find somebody like mymom for a wife.
