Free Fall

July 2, 2013
The soft sound of raindrops penetrate my thoughts
The overwhelming grief begins to consume me
I am trapped with no way out like a bird in a cage
As the rain continues to fall I watch on with longing
If only I could let myself fall and not care where I land
As if in a daze I step out into my very own aquatic paradise
Water plummets from the sky and washes over me with ease
I am one with the rain and there are no limits
