They Held Hands

March 16, 2014

Holding hands they jumped

Only in a matter of a boom

All shatters

To the hand of God

Seizing hands they jumped

Their Nation was a land mine

Waiting to be stomped on by the daring

Their life was on its way out

A streak of fear

A jump

They held hands

Fast falling

Floating away

Pain like that of only

The worst nightmares

From chaos to peace

An everlasting drift

Eternally holding hands

Watching over-

Ground Zero
