Shoes

August 13, 2015
Beaten, old and dirty
Loved but hated
In style and outdated
I am worn
And torn
My sole is loose
My strings are tied
You couldn't lose me if you tried
I am a pair of sneakers
My rubber gets weaker and weaker
I am called ugly
Yet I am coveted
Some would want me because they have nothing
I protect
I get neglect
But I do my job and I do it well
