Truly

September 2, 2015

This is my safe place

Where I show how I feel with no judgment

My thoughts are so confusingly clear

On these beautifully simple white sheets of paper

But even this is not truth

This is not a person

It's a cop out

So I don't have to face what I feel

It frightens me to share

My safe place

Because someone can see it

And steal my security

So easily

They will see my

Deepest

Darkest

Secrets

And not understand

Because they've never been in my bones

They've never felt what it's like to be in my skin

They've never seen the world with my eyes

So how could they possibly understand and accept

Who I am
