I Never Knew

November 26, 2017
My first breath of air, I never knew I would take My first love, i never knew would make my heart ache, those were little things that I never knew, i never knew that a home could be so violent i knew knew what I did wrong i never knew what anyone did wrong, I saw the world through pure eyes and a hopeful gleam, i never knew how it could bring us down and make good people suffer so much pain, I never knew what you were saying, why you left, why I no longer had a family, I never knew why I was so depressed, I never knew why I was so broken, I never knew why he made me happy I never knew why he hid things from me I never knew it was to keep me safe I never knew he was protecting me from the world that can ruin beautiful things and how he wanted me to see it as beautiful for as long as I could, but what I never knew is how much I would come to love you.
