What Transcends

June 15, 2018

As the bass resides in the background

You glance back at me with questioning eyes

You were once found

But now you're lost and thin as ice

In a wonder, you ask "Why?"

I can't really explain that incompleteness

Maybe it's just the wind

Or maybe in being empty, you'll find completeness

In love, I found myself in a bind

Never thought I could live like this

In tears, I see the sun

It's killing my retina

In pain, I found myself having more fun

One more day to hear the battles of the races

In you, you symmetrical spaces

I found the living nightmare that is myself.

"My love, you're missing yourself

and only you can cure that lost self."
