If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

To a Middle School Bully

December 16, 2017

Why?

Why must you spurn me so?

Your words harsh and cold.

Why must you abandon me?

Leaving me lonely and melancholy.

Why must you taunt me thus?

Childish insults stripping my confidence.

Why must you scar my soul?

Leaving me a mere cowardly shell.

Why, why, why?

Does it give you pleasure?

Cause in you some strange elation?

Does it strengthen your stature?

Destroying one barely worth the trouble?

To take from I who have nobody

The one companion I keep-

Myself.

Why?

Why?

Why?
