Why I Cannot Be Stranded On An Island

April 6, 2016

I think I would go absolutely bonkers

If I was stranded alone

I need someone by my side

To find in them a home

A home away from home

As long as it may last

A home where I am forgiven

Of my  spiky  past

A hand to hold

An ear to which I speak

Someone to keep me sane

Even when I freak

I could live without food

I could live without water

But I don't think I could bare to die alone

I want someone by my side

Someone to kiss my cheek

As I grow tired and weak

And as my soul will rise to the heaven in the greater sky

I would wait there for my friend

If the chance they would die

Then we could be together hand in hand

Going to our promise land

I have a question though for you

If I were stranded, would you be too?

Could we share laughs

And tears

About dreams

And fears

If I could show you how to plant a seed

Would you be all that I need?

Because I need someone

And someone needs me.
