Complex

January 31, 2015

I didn’t know that i was the only one who

stripped barbies instead of playing house.

hung out with girls because i liked them

not because i was one

i always had a deeper voice than most girls

people always made fun of my for it

called me a man-girl-kid

yeah, kids aren’t only cruel, but dumb too

I realized i was different when

i felt weird about going in the girls locker room

when i always picked fights with the boys

for picking on girls

who picked on me

for not being them

i never belonged with a certain pride

i never signed up for makeovers

never showed off my abs

or my designer bag

never belonged to anything

besides “fag”

its like calling the ocean water

instead of a combination of chemicals

dissolved carbon, carbohydrates,

proteins, acids, and vitamins.

barely just dipping your toes into a pond

I still let people push me around

let them call me whatever’s convenient

orientation is such a frustration

translating a transformation

let me transition to a new position

transcendental thinking
transverse-like idea’s

being spoon fed

to a very confused head

let me end this transmission

I am much more complex

than the preference of sex

you’ve only just scratched the surface.
