Memories

November 10, 2015

It is amazing

How one thing

Can trigger multiple

Memories

A scent

A place

A song

A person

An object

AAnd what happens

To those memories

When we get older

They lose minor details

One day you will

Become old and forget things

But you will never lose those memories completely

When your eyesight grows dim

Your skin isn't as radiant

Body parts start to sag

You will never

Lose the memories

That you cherish the most

And when it is time

To leave this life

Let yourself go

But make sure those

You leave behind have memories

Of you

Make sure they smile

When you cross their mind
