Curses

May 13, 2019

It's been too long since I wrote an actual poem.

Phrases, lyrics, verses, whatever they're called, they just don't

come to me like they use to anymore.

Burdens, mistakes, curses, whatever my excuse is,

I inevitably give them to everyone I know.

But I never let my heartbeat show.

Warlocks and witches circle around my bed,

planting poison apples in my head.

They've been with me for forever, and I couldn't tell you why.

All I know is,

it feels like their curses will follow me till the day I die.
