Stay The Night

July 21, 2015

I still want you

I still need it

I know what we have

Is beyong repair and fix

I know already

I remember

I recall

I feel the fallout

The breakdown

But even now

With all this history

Shattered on the floor

I still reach for you

I still want more

Just give me

One more night

Just take it

For one more night

If I ddin't need it

I wouldn't ask for it

If I knew how

I would walk away

I would leave it

Let it go

I know

I should know better

But it hurts so much less

When we're together

And I can't take it

I can't stand it another night

I need you

And I want you to stay

Stay the night

One more night

You need me

You reach for me

One more time

The last time

We both say it outloud

Clear out the webs and lies

Lock eyes

Fall down together

It's better

Then it's ever been

And as we begin again

And come undone

One last time

I hear you breathe

I hear you whisper my name

As you breathe life into me

So one more time

The last time

So I say

Because I can't stand it

Won't take it

Not another night

I can't handle

Won't cope

Don't know where

Or how to undo this rope

From around our necks

So I hold tight

For one more night

And when you look in my eyes

And tell me

You love me one more time

I let you in

Like cigarette burns on my skin

And ask you

One more time

To stay the night
