Going Forward

July 22, 2014

We take a step forward, by foot

And reach for what we want, by hand

When we want to be heard, we speak

I cannot move forward

I cannot grasp what I want

I am voiceless

Stuck in the same place

Wanting to change it all

Hoping to scream it all out

Wishing to go forward

Help me step up, so I can move

Lift me up, so I can reach

Listen to my words, so I can be heard

Because no one can go forward alone
