The Pomegranate

June 10, 2014

In my hand he placed a pomegranate

Inside laid six seeds

Each one representing what he could give to me

The first one love and desire

The second an escape from all the liars

The third a kingdom of my own

The fourth me the queen upon the throne

The fifith answers to my wildest dreams

The sixth adventures beyond all belief

As I held six possibilities within my hand

A feeling I could not stand

Engulfed my stomach and heart alike

Because I feeling I could not fight

Regardless of what I felt was right

I could not help, but be mystified

By the way his eyes hypnotized

Me into believing

Tonight was never ending

I felt my soul light on fire

As I finally gave into my desires.
