I'm Not Afraid of Anything

I am afraid of everything And nothing All at the same time; I'm afraid of being alone And I'm afraid of being together And I'm afraid of what's hiding under the bed And what's in the closet and What’s in my closet? And what those skeletons are; Are they real? Are they just imagination? What could I possibly not be afraid of in this world? Every single thing can lead to death, To destruction, And decay, And I can't take the issues that come with everything that happens to me; Yelling is terrifying, I'm terrifying, You’re terrifying, Why can't I just be normal and sane? Why does every siren have to be the one for my own life? For my own funeral, for my soul to be taken away. Why do you get to run And jump And fly And hide And get to decide Where you'd like to be tomorrow While I'm just waiting here for my own destiny Because I'm nothing more than a speck on the floor of the bedroom Of a teenage monster, The overlord of our society's grief and horror; Nothing but a torrent of maggots fluttering by
