Madness

August 8, 2015

Doesn't it just seem crazy

when you’r so far down you can’t see the top

and its dark,

when you turn on the tv and its news but in reality its what went wrong,

when a friend passes on and you wonder what happiness is.

It seems wrong to take pleasure in words or a smile,

crazy to find joy in the things you used to love,

insane to be happy about the little things.

Its madness!

But isn't it just,

what sane person stays up till one to talk with a friend,

who spends their time volunteering to help others rather than themselves,

why would anyone ever want to laugh so hard they cried?

Yes, its irrational, crazy and mad but it's also human

its courageous and powerful,

amazing and life changing.

A person's outlook on a situation, on their life, on the world can change everything!

A day can look so hazy through a cloudy window but once open can appear beautiful again.

At times happiness, hope and joy can seem insane with everything that is going wrong in the world

but I think then we just have to remind ourselves madness is only natural and everyone's a little bit crazy.
