Circulatory System

March 30, 2016

The agony in my heart,

thrums with its sluggish beat,

through the all reaching system,

delivered to the tips of my fingers,

and to the ends of my toes.

No remedy to ease its pain,

impossible to cure with any tonic,

puzzles the doctors around the world,

boggles the kids of geniuses,

because the problem is to feel.

Wasting away until dusk turns twilight,

upside down and the other way around,

sluggish beats growing even slower,

leaden body’s limbs are impossible to lift,

all due to the shouts and screams echoing in and around.
